MYANMAR

I had recently arrived in Myanmar, the Land of Gold, for the first stage of my apprenticeship with Burmese painter Shine Lu when I was commissioned to paint a wall at the then under construction rooftop bar of Hostel9 in downtown Yangon.

I would like to thank my my teacher Shine Lu for the guidance and support and to Carlo Chiozzi, Sai Nyi Nyi and Eaint Thway Khin for the confidence in my work.

It was an honor to paint this challenging piece, one of my favorites due to the whole production experience.
